The Government of Switzerland, through SECO, has provided funding for the Indonesia Sustainable Urbanization Multi‐Donor Trust Fund (IDSUN). IDSUN was designed to support the Government of Indonesia through technical assistance and capacity‐building activities to develop a suite of financing, advisory, program, and policy solutions to meet the challenge of sustainable urbanization.
With most of the originally planned set of IDSUN activities to be completed by mid‐2021, SECO and the World Bank appointed Baastel to assess and evaluate the experience of IDSUN implementation, which includes the following:
Fimotions assisted Baastel in the field of urban transport, contributing its international experience as well as expertise in the Indonesian urban transport context. We reviewed rich materials, documents and statistics such as Diagnostic of Public Transportation in Indonesian Cities, Bandung Rail Options Analysis, Medan LRT Proposal Analysis, and Indonesia National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024. We also conducted interviews with IDSUN-related stakeholders in the transport sector such as the World Bank Urban Transport Task Team, West Java Transport Agency, Ministry of Transport, and City of Bandung.
